At its heart, the Amarillo Wind Ensemble is a Community Band. Comprised of local community members, you may see some familiar faces as you navigate the site! We are always looking to grow and expand our membership. What we ask is simple...
First, we ask that you have a love of music and a desire to perform! Although we don't require an audition, we do ask that you have your own instrument and a solid proficiency on it. We accept upper level high school students as well! Each section has a section leader and these leaders are responsible for the ongoing assessment of their section. This is a great place for learning!
Second, you will need to register each season with us. When registration is open there will be a tab above for you to do so. If it is not available, our season is almost over and registration is closed. Feel free to still join us at a rehearsal to get a feel for the group! If you cannot afford tuition please contact us for information about scholarships.
Bring your instrument the first night of a season... WE HIT THE GROUND RUNNING!
