"At its heart, the Amarillo Wind Ensemble is Amarillo's premiere community ensemble. The membership is made up by wind band music lovers in a plethora of fields. From Recovering music professionals, to nurses and truck drivers, the AWE has a place for you! The AWE is community supported. Concert events are free and open to the public. Our charge is to give free wind-band music to our public, and further the performance and education of the genre of music. So, if you play a wind instrument, or a percussion instrument, and want a warm and fun atmosphere to rehearse and perform, then dust off that instrument and come join us!"
