Why and How to Give...

​Amarillo, Texas is an exceptionally blessed and equally generous community.  Arts organizations in Amarillo flourish thanks to individuals who believe in celebrating the diversity and universality of human expression.  Music, in particular, unites people and transcends differences; collectively capturing what it means to be uniquely human. 

We can't thank you enough, the citizens of Amarillo and it's surrounding communities, for your continued support and encouragement.  In keeping with our mission statement and purpose, we truly feel that what sets our organization apart from all others, is our desire to share the gift of music freely with all of you!  In keeping with that commitment, we endeavor to keep all of our performances FREE to the public. 

This would not be possible without the generous patronage of YOU, our audience and supporters. There are two ways you can show your support for the Amarillo Wind Ensemble...

Firstly, what we ask most is your attendance!  There is no greater thrill for a performer than to look out into the audience and see a packed house!  It is why we do what we do.  Sharing the joy and passion of music is why we exist as an organization.

Secondly, financial support is always welcome.  It's like having a big family... lots of kids, lots of toys, lots of needs!  Donations  are used for maintenance/ repair of band equipment, sheet music, recording equipment, the occasional costs associated with DVD/CD productions, and  promotional material for the ensemble.  We also take great great pride in being able to offer scholarships to musicians who wish to join our ranks! 

Remember, we are an all volunteer group, there are no salaries involved!  Every bit you give goes to support performances in your local community!
